About Dolce Beada Jewelry

about

I am Angela Keller designer and founder of Dolce Beada Italian Glass Jewelry.  I am committed to honoring the traditions of Italy through my craft.  By combining the ancient artistry of Venetian glass bead making with contemporary jewelry design, I offer you classic, elegant jewelry that you will wear for years to come.

Murano glass jewelry created by Dolce BeadaOf the 5 times I have been out of the country, 3 of those trips have been to Italy.  I have taken Italian but understand only slightly more than I speak which is not saying much.  My dream is to live in Italy for an extended period of time – some day.  When people ask if I am Italian I always say, I am Italian at heart or perhaps in a former life.  Several years ago, I studied glass bead making and began incorporating glass beads into my jewelry designs.  In my quest to learn more, I discovered the simple beauty of Venetian glass beads and my passions came together and Dolce Beada was born.

Perhaps you are looking to buy a gift as a reminder of your own trip to Italy or perhaps you just appreciate beautiful artisan jewelry.  Either way, when you purchase a piece of  Dolce Beada jewelry, you can be assured of the quality and authenticity of your Venetian glass.  Many of my beads come directly from the island of Murano (also known as Murano glass beads) where I have worked at the torches with the glass makers.   The techniques they employ date back to the 13th century and have been handed down through generations of artisans.
